What Are YOU Doing May 5th?

While reading the May 5th edition of the Market these few lines about the work being done on Pioneer Cemetery impressed themselves on my brain.

“The Ladies….and I showed up at the cemetery at the appointed time and spent 2 hours grunting, groaning and laughing as we moved earth and stone to firm up retaining walls.  We want this to be a nice display for everyone by next spring.”
“That being the case – if any of you folks would like to help out – please, please show up Sunday May 15th at 1 p.m.  Or call 896-3339 to contribute prior to the above date.  This project “WILL” be completed but with 3 Women and 1 Canadian guy (all of us north of 6 decades) – well it will take a while.”

So if you’re a student needing to do some community service, belong to a group (ie: Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, Youth Church group, 4-H, FFA, etc.) interested in serving the community, or maybe you and a few friends are just looking for something creative to do, why not show up on May 15th and lend a hand.  Your community will really appreciate you (and so will the Ladies and that Canadian guy).
