The North Judson-San Pierre School Board is prepared to hire a superintendent when they meet this evening. High School Principal Dr. Annette Zupin will formally be offered the job during their 7 p.m. meeting.
If Zupin accepts the position, she will be paid a base salary of $99,700 in the first year and $102,000 each of the next two years, plus benefits. By her third year in the position she will be making the same amount of money former Superintendent Lynn Johnson was earning when she left N.J.-S.P. in December.
Other items on tonight’s agenda include transition statements for the N.J.-S.P. Elementary and Junior/Senior High School reconfiguration, approval of handbook changes and school meal prices for the 2016-17 academic year.
Board members will consider a state-mandated policy on criminal gangs and gang activity on first reading. N.J.-S.P Senior Nick Sierzputowski, Starke County’s 2016 Lilly Scholarship winner, will be recognized during the Bluejay Way portion of the meeting. It starts at 7 p.m. at the central office.
