What's Missing From This Picture?

We’re not sure just when it happened, but some one backed into the Library’s book drop between April 13th and the 16th.  In order to remove the books that had been deposited in the book drop over that weekend, it was necessary to remove the door completely.

Until we can have a new door fabricated you will need to bring all materials into the library to return them.

Keep Your Pets in Mind

Gardening time is here. Some plants are toxic to your pets. Here are a list of some: Tulip bulbs, Sago Palm, Yew, Azalea, Chrysanthemum, Oleander, Castor Bean and Lillies. It should be noted that Lillies are particularly toxic to cats. Castor Bean is toxic to all species, including humans.

It is recommended that you avoid Cocoa mulch if you have puppies or dogs that will consume virtually anything. Some brands of Cocoa mulch still contain Theobromine which is toxic in large doses. Other brands are considered pet-friendly as they are heat processed and Theobromine free. Check the label.

No More Book Drop

Over the weekend some one backed into the library's book drop and really bashed in the door.  No idea who did it, no note.  Until further notice the book drop will be out of commission.

Just to update this, the book drop at the North Judson-Wayne Township Library has been repaired.  You can use it to return your books and magazine when the library is closed.

Remember, audio and video materials can be damaged if returned in the book drop due to extreme heat or cold, or they could be broken if heavy materials on them,  The person who checks them out IS responsible for the cost of replacing damaged items.

They Have Some Great Historical Photos...

Just visited the North Judson Park and Recreation Board page on facebook and loved all the pictures. They have albums of Norwayne Field - past and present, construction of the buildings in the park, the park dedication, Fun Day in the Park, and Christmas past at Norwayne Field. Some how all of this just seems to tie in with the "Saving Hoosier Heritage...together" display at the library.
