North Judson’s recently-fired town marshal John Ramos will have to wait a bit longer to learn the outcome of his appeal. Ramos was fired by the town council on April 21. He’s since filed paperwork appealing his termination.
The North Judson Town Council will conduct a formal hearing during an executive session on Thursday, May 25, according to Clerk-Treasurer Alicia Collins. That’s a week later than originally planned, but still within the required 30 days following the filing.
Collins said as of last week, Officer Frank Thomas was running the police department, with Officer Joe Budner on surgery leave. Officer Rico Simpson remains on duty. Collins says part-time officers are assisting Thomas and Simpson.
