A longtime Knox attraction is closing. Bowlaway Lanes will be open on Saturday, May 20th for a customer appreciation day from 11 a.m. until 8 p.m., according to a posting on their Facebook page.

All bowlers are asked to remove personal items from their lockers at that time.

Owner Phillip Konrad of Knox died in March. He and his wife purchased Bowlaway Lanes in 1996, according to Starke County property records.

The business is for sale, and the fate of the bowling leagues based there is in question unless a new owner takes over before the season starts.

The Bowlaway Lanes Facebook page also states, “We would like to thank all of you for letting us be a part of your lives for the past 21 years.”

Call Bowlaway Lanes at 574-772-4527 with any questions.
