12/6 - 8/2013 This Is A BIG Weekend For Christmas Activities

December 6, 2013
The Tree Lighting in North Judson will be on Friday evening, December 6, at 6 PM. At 5:45 PM, the Christmas Parade will begin at Lane and Sycamore streets, proceed down Lane to Main, and to Norwayne Field, where Santa will help light the trees. The North Judson-San Pierre High School Band will be in the parade, and the NJ-SP Choir will sing at the lighting. Parade participants should line up on Luken Street near Sycamore at 5:30. Following the tree lighting, join Santa at the Community Building (old firehouse) for cookies and hot chocolate, where Back Stage Studio of Dance will also perform. The Christmas spirit arrives in North Judson in a big way December 6.

December 7, 2013
Tickets are on sale for the Hoosier Valley Railroad Museum Santa Trains this December. These trains always sell out, so make sure you get your tickets early! There are still a few tickets left for the 10 a.m. December 7th train.

A 2nd Annual Christmas Bazaar will take place Saturday, December 7th, at St. Peter Lutheran School Gym.  There will be 28 crafters/vendors from offering a variety of goods from 9 am-2 pm CST.  Mini Christmas Photo Sessions w/Elle Z Photography call for an appt. or walk-ins welcome (574)806-2254.

December 8, 2013
There will be a Cookie walk and a Taco Bar on Sunday, December 8, from 12:00 p.m -2:00 p.m. at St. Mathew Lutheran Church in Hamlet.  A large variety of homemade cookies will be available for sale. 
The Taco bar will be $6.00 for adults and $3.00 for children 10 and under. this event is Sponsored by St. Matthew Lutheran Church Sunday School and Thrivent Insurance.

The annual community Christmas Cantata at the Knox United Methodist Church on Sunday, Dec. 8 with performances at 2 p.m. and at 6 p.m. CT.
This year’s Cantata, “The Winter Rose”, is under the direction of Jim Oliverius, assisted by Brian Lietchy and Nan Folkers.
This year’s Cantata will be a complete unique music experience that will warm your heart for the Christmas season. Admission is free, but a free will offering will be taken.
