Starke County residents will have a chance to get rid of unwanted tires, electronics, and many other household items during the Starke County Environmental Management District’s 2016 Environmental Days. Residents can drop off tires, appliances, and electronics tomorrow afternoon from 3:00 to 5:00 at the Starke County Highway Garage at 3835 East 250 North.
The collection event continues on Saturday, between 8:30 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. In addition to the items previously mentioned, the Environmental Management District will also be accepting various types of household hazardous waste on Saturday. These include household cleaners, chemicals, acids, auto fluids, oils, and unwanted medicines.
Many items will be disposed for free, although some may require a fee. Click here for more information, including a complete list of which items will and will not be accepted.
