6/19/2016 American Legion Post 92 Flag Burning Ceremony

Memorial Day and Flag Day have passed and the Fourth of July is just ahead.  There is nothing quite so beautiful as our flag set out to commemorate these days.

As is so often the case, once the flag is out it becomes forgotten.  Sooner than we would like, it becomes tattered and torn.  The Red, White, And Blue stands for our country and is considered a living representation of it.  When it is no longer presentable, it should be properly retired.

Every Father's Day weekend, during the Mint Festival, American Legion Post 92 has a flag burning ceremony.  It is done with the respect our flag deserves.  Please bring your old flags to the American Legion Post and let them be disposed of in the prescribed method on Sunday, June 19th, at 1 p.m.
