Notes from Nubi - Boy, Are Mom's Fingers Tired!

When mom started entering the local festival activities for June she didn't realize how many there were.  Usually she just has a few to enter, but festival season really gets into high gear next month.  If you check the listing under our "From the 2013 Indiana Festival Guide" you will find thirteen (13) festivals in our area alone.  Now can you imagine how many there are across the state?

And these are only the festivals that have write-ups in the Festival Guide.  There are some pages in that booklet that list events but don't give any information.  Makes me wonder what goes on at those festivals.  Hey, maybe they don't advertise more because those are the one's that have some of the best stuff!  You know, like the hidden treasure that you really have to dig to find.

Actually, all of the Indiana Festivals are like hidden treasures, you just have to be searching for that particular type of treasure to really appreciate it.  Like when mom puts my dry food in my food ball dispenser and I roll it all around the house.  I never know what is going to work it's way out of the hole or when, which is what makes it really fun, but it's always a treat that I really like.

You should approach your visit to summer festivals like my food ball dispenser.  Travel around a lot and see what special treat falls out, you might just find a hidden treasure you didn't realize you were hunting.
