One of the open seats on the North Judson Park Board was filled during Monday night’s Town Council Meeting.
Republican Party Representative Marv Peters explained that they found an individual who was willing to serve out the remainder of one of the unexpired terms, which is set to end on December 31st of this year.
He told members, “It is Rebecca “Becky” Anderson and she thought she’d like to give it a try and if it works out right, she’d be willing to go the next term.”
He noted that he coordinated with Park Board President Nick Radke about the candidate and there were no objections to the suggestion.
A motion to approve the recommendation was made and it passed with a unanimous vote.
In order to keep the board balanced, as is required by state statute, there still needs to be one more Republican member. If you’re interested in filling the position, contact NJ Town Hall at 574-896-3340.
