A popular local event has been cancelled due to the weather.
“The Pulaski Post” reports next weekend’s Northern Indiana Power from the Past
antique farm and tractor show has been cancelled.
The four-day show takes place in the Winamac Town Park,
which is prone to flooding from the Tippecanoe River. Additional rain is in the
forecast throughout next week. The back part of the park was under water
throughout most of the month of June, which saw a record rainfall of more than
9 inches. The soggy conditions forced a reshuffling of Pulaski County 4-H Fair
events. According to the Post, this is only the second time in its 38-year
history the power show has been cancelled due to flooding. The first was in
1996.
