The young King of Navarre and three male chums swear a three-year oath: devotion to study and avoidance of women. Shakespeare’s comic stage is set when four flirtatious females (including the Princess of France) arrive with a petition for the King. With the Young Company’s signature spirit of fun, music, and outdoor adventure, Love’s Labor’s Lost is the perfect comedy for a sun-kissed summer evening.
July 19 - Taltree Aboretum and Gardens in Valparaiso, 6:30 p.m. (CDT).
Love’s Labor’s Lost will be directed by West Hyler, returning for his second summer leading these early-career artists. Hyler is best known for his work on Broadway, including Jersey Boys and How the Grinch Stole Christmas.
The 90-minute performance is free of charge, so bring your picnic blanket, lawn chairs, family, and friends to enjoy the Notre Dame Shakespeare Festival Young Company.
