A North Judson-San Pierre employee was recently recognized as this year’s Richard and Kareen Nielsen Bluejay award.
The Nielsen award is given to acknowledge special individuals, past and present, who faithfully embody the Bluejay Spirit.
Ray Rohzon has worked at the North Judson-San Pierre School Corporation since 2008 and has made it his mission to take care of the high school gymnasium. He cares for the facility as if it was his own and takes special care of the floor for regular season basketball games and for sectional and regional tournaments.
Rohzon graduated from Kankakee Valley High School in 1973, but he’s not afraid to show his alliance to the Bluejays. School officials call him an “exceptional employee” and a huge Bluejay sports fan. He loves basketball, baseball and football and proud to call North Judson-San Pierre his team.
Ray Rohzon was presented with the Nielsen award this week during a Tuesday night basketball game in North Judson.
