Eric Corey Foundation Turkey Tracks

The Turkey Tracks event is April 26-28 in Starke County.

The Eric Corey Foundation will sponsor the hunt designed for handicapped and terminally-ill hunters, giving them a chance to do something they love that they might not otherwise be able to do.

The late Eric Corey first organized the event which allows guides to help handicapped hunters search and harvest turkeys during the three-day excursion. Eric Corey passed away in 2012 after fighting ALS for several years He always said that it’s not about the birds, it’s about the friends you make along the way.

Eric’s parents, Carol and Doug Corey, are honoring his wishes in keeping the event rolling.

This year’s Turkey Tracks hunt will provide more than 30 handicapped hunters with the opportunity to get out in the field.
