North Judson Town Marshal Kelly Fisher will be making a bit more money than her predecessor. The town council approved a salary ordinance amendment last week, raising Fisher’s annual salary to $50,000.
That’s over $1,300 more than what former Town Marshal John Ramos made. Clerk-Treasurer Alicia Collins says the increase was agreed upon when Fisher was hired back in June.
Also during last week’s special meeting, the North Judson Town Council approved the hiring of two new part-time police officers. Collins says they will fill in for the full-time officers, as needed. Part-time officers got a pay raise during the council’s previous meeting, from $15 to $18 an hour.
