North Judson School Photos Find New Home

The class composite and group photos of North Judson and North Judson-San Pierre High School graduates will soon have a new home. They were recently displaced from Grand Central Station in downtown North Judson after a church took over that space. North Judson-San Pierre Superintendent Lynn Johnson told the school board this week those photos will be on display at the new North Judson Town Hall when it opens later this year.

The town is moving into the bank building on Lane Street next to Ray’s Super Foods. First Farmers Bank and Trust donated that building to the town earlier this year, and it is being refurbished for occupancy. The bank has a newer building behind the North Judson-Wayne Township Public Library and no longer needs the other space. Johnson says the photos will be on loan for display at the town hall.

NJ-SP High School Mashup Contest

Looking for something fun to do? Come to the NJ-SP High School Auditorium at 6:00 PM on March 19. You'll be treated to a Mashup Contest (think Glee) with other spotlighted talent mixed in.

Cost is $5.00 for adults/$3.00 for students. Children not yet in school are free. Proceeds from the event go to the Christina Rotering and Ashley Derrickson Memorial Fund for Starke County Cancer. Hope to see you there!

22nd Annual Madrigal Dinner

They Opened Their Hearts to CADA

In February the Friends of the North Judson-Wayne Township Library chose the Starke County CADA (Coalition Against Domestic Abuse) to be their Valentine.  Letters were sent out to members with a wish list of needed items and we waited for things to trickle in.

But one of our Friends went one step beyond; she took it upon herself to get the word out even further.  Because of her concern and compassion CADA received enough items to fill two family vans.
