A template has been selected and the North Judson Town website is currently being personalized.
At this week’s town council meeting, Clerk-Treasurer Andrew Rowe informed the members that he’s been coordinating with Brian Pinson from SpiderByte IT about the ongoing project.
He has sent in some panoramic-style photos of the town and at Monday’s meeting, Town Photographer Peggy Bohac took pictures of the council members. Those will be submitted to Pinson so they can also be included on the website.
Rowe mentioned that town officials may want to consider creating a new logo that will be featured on the site. He said they also have the option to work off of their current one and just make some updates.
Rowe added that there is a chance that they could also potentially have a live feed overlooking Norwayne Field streaming on the website 24/7.
He said the president of Fourway Computer Products, Roland Houin, approached a park board representative about the possibility of installing a camera while doing technology upgrades on the water tower.
As a reminder, Fourway took over for N.I.T Line and was permitted to update the town’s internet equipment to improve speed and expand coverage.
Rowe explained that the Town would need to purchase the camera itself but Fourway would cover the installation and streaming costs. Rowe said that further research will be done to determine how much the camera would cost.
Rowe indicted in addition to being a neat feature for the website, this camera could serve as an added security measure.
