The North Judson Police Department is hosting a special event tomorrow to give local children a chance to bond with the officers who serve and protect the community.
The “Chalkin’ With Cops” event will be held from 10 a.m. until noon on Saturday at Norwayne Field on the sidewalk near the Police Department.
At the last council meeting, Town Marshal Kelly Fisher shared a little bit about the event.
She told town council members, “We’re going to invite kids to come up to the park area with sidewalk chalk to color it and give the kids a chance to get out and mingle with the officers.”
Marshal Fisher added that she discussed the event with the park board prior to scheduling it they provided their approval since the chalk art will be temporary and will wash off with the first rain.
Chalk will be provided but families are free to bring along their own as well. If you have any questions, you can contact the North Judson Police Department at 772-5914.
