Many questions have been going around about how individuals can assist those who have been impacted by the recent flooding.
As a way to direct people to the right channels, Starke County Community Foundation’s Director of Development Sarah Origer provided a plethora of local resources that work year-round to assist our community.
Though the Community Foundation lists a plethora of helpful agencies for a variety of situations, Origer highlighted a few in the Emergency Assistance and Social and Human Services category, including Kid’s Closet Ministry in North Judson, the Society of St. Vincent de Paul which has locations in Knox and North Judson and Community Services of Starke County located in Knox.
Local charitable organizations such as these will certainly be looking for donations when people start to seek help as the severity of damages becomes more apparent. These resources can be contacted, not only by those looking to provide assistance but also by those who are currently in need.
Below you’ll find all the necessary contact information for the agencies that Origer mentioned, as well as a link to a full list of Starke County agencies.
