12/11/2015 Festival of Lessons & Carols @ Ss. Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church

Organist Michael Booth, Director of the North Judson-Wayne Township Library, will present Lessons and Carols, a Christmas Program on Friday evening, December 11, at 6:30 PM  at Saints Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church.  The Festival of Lessons and Carols is a service of Scripture and song that dates to the late 19th century.  In this service, nine Scripture lessons recount the Fall, the promise of a Messiah, the Incarnation, and the Great Commission to preach the Good News.  Each lesson is followed by a carol or other song that reflects on the lesson's message and a brief prayer.  The service is open to the public.
